Which State Has The Best Beaches?

Florida is the state with the best beaches and beach towns. There are 825 miles of beaches and a total of 189 registered beaches within this state. There are remote barrier island beaches, beaches for collecting fossils and sea shells and beaches suited for surfing etcetera.

Florida Beaches

The Florida Panhandle & The Emerald Coast's Popular Stretch Of Family Friendly Beaches.

Along the turquoise waters of Florida's westernmost parts is an amazing shoreline with blinding white sand beaches well worth exploring. For those who are not aware the sand that you will find on Florida's Gulf Coast is a quartz sand from the Appalachian Mountains.

This fine white sand stays cooler during the day and is powdery soft. The higher the quartz quantity the more amazing the beach is. We will get to the beach with the highest quality of sand in a few moments. Rest assured stunning views and sun sets await.

The Emerald Coast includes Gulf Shores to Destin, Panama City Beach, And Pensacola Beach communities. Any of these are a wonderful place for water sports, beach volleyball and swimming during the summer months. Like California the winter months are not so good. The best beach is probably Grayton Beach which is on the west side of Grayton Beach State Park. Each section has it's perks and basically the same pristine beaches.

Other Beaches Cold In The Winter include Waikiki Beach and Wailea Beach in Hawaii. California's Long Beach, San Diego, Half Moon Bay and Santa Monica Beach are also pretty much limited to sandcastle building during the winter months.

The Sun Coast & Its' Stunning Beaches On Florida's West Coast

Honeymoon Island State Park, Caladesi Island State Park, Clearwater Beach and St Pete Beach and numerous more easy access beaches are found here. The first two I mentioned are slightly more remote but filled with nature trails, marine wildlife and arriving early is not as important.

The pristine waters of Clearwater Beach and the area's many attractions make this the best beach in the entire state. The beach town itself has, well everything. You can ride on a pirate ship, go jet skiing, rent equipment or even visit the pier or Clearwater aquarium. This is the most popular beach for those who are familiar with Florida.

From North To South along the Sun Coast (Tampa Bay) is basically a group of barrier islands and one big white sand beach on each of them. St Pete Beach is the second most famous and though to be a more family friendly beach probably because of the beach front hotels.

There is no Pacific Ocean beach that can compare to these. Not to mention, travel to these is far easier than to any California or Hawaii or Island beaches that get cold in the winter anyways limiting them to summer for the more pleasurable visits.

The Best Beach In Florida

Siesta Key The Perfect Beach On Florida's Outer Banks

Siesta Key and Siesta Key Beach are where you will find the highest content of quartz. Yes, the whitest beaches, softest beaches that you can find on the west coast of Florida are right here. The south shore will place you looking toward the sun almost all day long and the north shoreline will place you beside Sand Dollar Island. The only reason that this beach is not the most popular beach in the world is the surround area is a little behind some others.

Venice Beach Chief Of Rugged Beaches & Caspersen Beach

Would you like to find some fossilized sharks teeth? See your children find seashells and fossils on the water's edge? If so head to Venice Beach and walk southward to Caspersen. You will notice the beach is somewhat darker but there is a reason. Namely fossils and the like. You will find no such place on the east coast of Florida. Expect a fun filled and enjoyable experience of a lifetime.

Miami Beach, South Beach & The Florida Keys

Probably the best known areas in Florida but not the best beaches. That being said once you know what to expect they are interesting and worth experiencing. Stay at a hotel near the beach when you go to South Beach. It will be much more fun but the white sand beach most are looking for is more of a white'ish.

Also keep in mind that the Florida Keys and Key West do have beaches but that is not the primary draw. People go to the keys for scuba diving, deep sea fishing and partying. If you go the the Florida Keys for sightseeing you will be disappointed.

Beaches near Walt Disney World

Daytona Beach & Cocoa Beach For Surf Shops, A Splash Park, Raceway, Amusement Parks & Piers

Yes the Florida Space Coast has everything I mentioned and much more. The sand is a pinkish white but the same cobalt blue waters as you will see to the south are here as well. Where else can you watch a rocket launch from volleyball courts? What other beach park exists like the one in Daytona Beach? Not to mention Cocoa Beach is only an hour and a half from Walt Disney World.
