Tampa To Daytona Beach Realistically

I took the above picture at 1 PM on a Sunday. Believe it or not the traffic around Orlando is normally much worse than around Tampa. Still you will likely drive the path shown above. My suggestions are that as you approach US 27 which is just a few minutes east of the Rest Area that you stay in the left hand lane. Many people use US 27 and it can back up the right lane for over a mile at times. Namely rush hour traffic.

Both of these cities are very popular. Daytona Beach FL has Daytona International Speedway and of course is a popular spring break destination. I suggest avoiding the driving distance and just visiting Tampa and Daytona Beach separately as that is more cost effective. Daytona Beach just has the raceway and a beach.
